Frequently asked questions
Short answers about accounts, where resumes are kept, syncing, offline use, assistants, fonts and applicant tracking systems, each with a link to the full page.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no profile. See Privacy.
Where are my resumes kept?
In your browser, on your device, and nowhere else. See Local first.
Can I use it on two devices?
Not by syncing: there is no server to sync through. Move a resume with a bundle, or the whole device with a backup. See Bundles and Backup and restore.
What if I clear my browser?
Your resumes go with it, and there is no other copy. A backup is the only thing that survives. See Troubleshooting.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the app has cached itself. See Install and work offline.
Why Markdown?
A resume is mostly structure, and Markdown is plain text that says it. It can be written by hand, kept in version control or produced by an assistant, and every change on the paper is written back into it. See The shape of the file.
Can an AI write my resume?
An assistant can, and these docs have prompts that teach one the format and tell it never to invent facts. Nothing in Rejarsume sends your resume to one. See AI prompts and Privacy.
Is the PDF readable by a tracking system?
It is made by printing, so it has real text and not a picture of text. Every template is a single column. The ATS tab looks for other things that may trip a parser, and cannot promise how any one system reads a file. See The ATS check and PDF.
Can I use my own font?
Yes, with a WOFF2, WOFF, TrueType or OpenType file. It is embedded in an HTML export. A system that re-draws the text may use a face of its own, so the built-in faces are the safer choice for a parser. See Images and fonts.
Can I change how a template looks?
Yes, by the Style tab first and by your own CSS second. See The style inspector and Custom CSS.
Can I tailor a resume for each job?
Make a version for each company, and see what you changed with Compare. See Versions for a job.
Can I import a resume I already have?
Yes, from Markdown, JSON Resume, plain text or a bundle. See Import formats.
Can I read these docs in another language?
In English and Indonesian, at the same address with /en or /id. See
Language.
