What Rejarsume keeps, what it never sends, what a request for the app's files reveals, and which optional features open another site and what they send.
Rejarsume is built so that your resume does not need to leave your device. This page says exactly what that means, so you can check it against what you see.
What stays on your device
Everything you write. Your resumes, groups, images and fonts are stored in your browser and nowhere else. There is no account, no sign-in and no profile, and so nothing to leak from one. Exporting a file, printing a PDF and making a backup all happen in your browser and write a file to your device.
What is requested
Opening Rejarsume is an ordinary request for the app's files, as with any website. The server that answers sees what any web server sees, such as your network address and the browser you use. That is all that is asked of it.
The typefaces are part of the app and are not loaded from another site. No analytics, tracking or advertising script is part of Rejarsume. Nothing you type, no image you add and no file you export is ever part of a request.
Once the app is cached on your device, it opens with no network at all. See Install and work offline.
What the documentation does
Reading these pages is a request for the page. Searching them runs in your browser against an index it downloads once, so what you look for does not leave it.
- Ask an assistant, on a docs page, opens Claude or ChatGPT in a new tab only when you choose it. It sends the address of the public page and nothing about your resumes.
- Copy page and View as Markdown fetch that page's Markdown from this same site. They send nothing but the address of the page.
What a file you share contains
A file you export is yours to share, and it contains what you put in it. A backup holds everything on the device. A bundle holds one resume with its images and fonts. An HTML export holds the page with its images and fonts embedded. Check what you are sending before you send it. The Markdown, JSON Resume and plain text exports hold content only.
What an assistant sees
Rejarsume does not send your resume to any assistant. If you paste it into one yourself, or write one with an assistant's help, what you paste is governed by that service. The AI prompts only teach a model the format, and they hold no resume data. See AI prompts.
