# Connect Claude to your account

> Let Claude read, check and edit your resumes by connecting it to your account. How to connect it, what it can and cannot do, and how to disconnect it.

Claude can work on your resumes directly: list them, read one, check it, rewrite
it or make a version for a job. It does this through your account, so you need
one, and nothing happens until you allow it.

## Connect

### Add Rejarsume as a connector

In Claude, add a custom connector with this address:

```text
https://shopsalone.com/mcp
```
### Sign in and allow

Claude sends you to Rejarsume. Sign in if you are not signed in already. The
page names the app that is asking and the address it will send you back to.
Check both, then choose **Allow**.
### Ask

Back in Claude, ask for what you need: tailor my resume for this job, check my
resume for tracking-system problems, or write a cover letter for this role from
my resume.

Claude Code connects the same way, and opens your browser to sign in:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http rejarsume https://shopsalone.com/mcp
```

Any other assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol with sign-in can
connect at the same address.

## What it can do

- List your resumes and cover letters, and read any of them as Markdown.
- Check one with the same rules as the ATS tab. Length is the exception: it
  needs the laid-out page, which only the app has.
- Create a resume or a cover letter, rewrite one, or make a version for a job
  that you can compare with the original.

What it writes is saved to your account at once and reaches your devices at the
next sync, like an edit of your own. If you are editing the same resume at that
moment, the later change wins. See
[Accounts and sync](https://shopsalone.com/en/docs/data/accounts.md#conflicts).

## What it cannot do

- Delete anything. If something should go, it tells you, and you delete it in
  the app.
- Change the design of an existing resume. Rewriting one keeps its template,
  colours, fonts and custom CSS.
- Add an image. An image is stored under an id that it cannot know.
- See your password, or sign in anywhere as you. Its access works on your
  resumes and nothing else.

## Disconnect

In **Settings**, under **Account**, **Connected apps** lists every app you have
allowed and when each was last used. **Disconnect** ends its access at once.
Access that is not used for thirty days ends by itself, and deleting your
account disconnects everything. See [Privacy](https://shopsalone.com/en/docs/data/privacy.md#connected).
